Brighton indie rock band Bighead Tea Drinkers have unleashed their new single “The Land Is Hers” alongside a video.
Anthemic, raw, energetic, Bighead Tea Drinkers comprised of Freddie Brindle (lead vocals / guitar), Marshall Tyce (drums), Ellie Hart (lead guitar) and Kian Ramsay (bass), are a young UK band that simply can’t be put into a box, while cementing their place in the new guitar music landscape, this group takes inspiration from headliners of the past with influences that range from The Strokes to The Clash and Lana Del Rey. Indie rock roots stand as the base of their sound with elements of alternative rock and pop.
Still approaching their 20’s, the four members of Bighead Tea Drinkers live together in Brighton, living and breathing the band lifestyle is what they were born to do. ‘The Land Is Hers’ continues the bands growth following the previous single ‘Flowers’.
Talking about it Marshall explains, “I love this song because it wastes no time hitting you in the face. It’s gritty, raw, and a step into a new sonic direction for us.” Ellie adds that it’s “driven by a heavier bass line, punchy drums, and dirtier guitar tones. It has this infectious energy and shows a side of us you haven’t seen before.”
Fred notes that the song speaks to “people who battle with self-belief. If you ignore the negative narrator in your head, you can accomplish anything.” Kian rounds it off by describing it as “a strong new single that rushes you into a darker, more powerful sound.”
