Los Angeles dream pop/lo-fi musician Castlebeat (aka Josh Hwang), has revealed his new single “Something Else“.
The song is out now via Spirit Goth Records and follows on from last year’s album ‘Half Life’ and their latest single ‘Wish’. Get it here.
Hwang is also the founder of Spirit Goth. As CASTLEBEAT he weaves melodic pop hooks with dreamy, melancholic sounds often leaving listeners with a sense of nostalgia. Josh started the recording project in 2015 with a demo EP, and has since matured in composition and sound while retaining his trademark lo-fi quality.

CASTLEBEAT “Something Else” Lyrics:
Is this the timing of fate
To be the last one
She isn’t one to be late
So wait
And many hours a day
Spent looking outside
Well I don’t know what to say
Today
It’s too late to change it
For your sake don’t cave in
Safe to say it’s something
On my mind
Every time
Ooo I wanna feel something else, ooo I wanna go someplace else
Ooo I’ll never be someone else, ooo I wanna feel something else
Let’s take a walk in the park
So we can spend time
We didn’t think it would take
Forever
And in the evening light
There’s something that shines
We’re gonna burn up inside
Together
Ooo I wanna feel something else, ooo I wanna go someplace else
Ooo I’ll never be someone else, ooo I wanna feel something else
