Los Angeles post punk/coldwave/new wave band Deceits have revealed their new single “Fate (Is When I’m With You)“.
Taken from their new 2-track EP ‘Fate/Light‘. Out now via their Bandcamp, the EP offers two contrasting but soulful expressions of post-punk sounds. Grab it here.
Commenting on the tracks, they explain:
Fate (Is When I’m With You)
Fate is a romantic new-wave inspired love song about the fear of losing the one you love, but finding reassurance that they will always be with you when you think of them. With sounds directly influenced by the romantic song from bands like The Cure, The Sound, Sad Lovers & Giants and For Against.
Guiding Light
Light is a darker German/90’s goth inspired piece about the search for hope during dark times. The track takes musical cues from Remain In Silence, The Chameleons, The Danse Society and Mephisto Walz.
As a bonus, the band have also included an Alternate 80’s Demo Mix of Guiding Light, produced by James Edwards of Male Tears along with a demo version of our song Failures.
