New York City neo-psychedelia five-piece GIFT have released the Glove Remix of their track “Gumball Garden“.
The original song features on their debut album ‘Momentary Presence‘, released in October through Dedstrange. Get the remix here.
Tampa Post Punkers Glove take us to the goth club and insert a stiff drum groove into GIFT’s breakthrough hit “Gumball Garden” creating a psychedelic, club ready version of the track.
Bladerunner synthesizers and summer frosted guitars give way to a tough drum machine workout that demands us to give up on the natural world and dedicate ourselves to the dance floor and strobe lights.
Take a listen below.
On GIFT’S kaleidoscopic first long-player, bandleader TJ Freda and company uncap the lens to project their vibrant spectrum of psych, krautrock, dream pop, post-punk, noise rock and electronica upon the vacant surfaces of the mind, inviting listeners to, in the words of countercultural guru Ram Dass, “be here now.”
Lead single “Gumball Garden” opens the gate to a technicolor shoegazing fantasy island dipped in syrupy synths and topped with powdered fuzz riffs to deliver a delectable confection of neo-psychedelic euphoria fueled by dank strains of effervescent psych-prog.
