Brighton indie rock/pop/psych band Lime Garden have aired their new single “Nepotism (baby)” alongside an accompanying video.
The song, produced by Ali Chant (Perfume Genius, PJ Harvey, Yard Act), is out now through So Young Records, and follows last year’s singles “Bitter“, and “Marbles”. It is the first taste of a “longer project” coming sometime next year. Get it here.
Speaking about it, singer Chloe Howard explains: “”Nepotism (baby)” was written as a commentary on modern society, imagining my life as if I was someone born into fame. Writing the track gave me the feeling of being a teenager again, writing songs in my bedroom using three chords or less. The sound of this song pays homage to the beginnings of this band as four angsty teens who love guitars.”
