Denmark-based indie/electronic duo Lust For Youth have aired their new single “Accidental Win“.
This is their first music since 2019’s self-titled album that ushered in the band’s transformation from a three piece to a duo.
“Accidental Win” comes on the tail end of a successful UK tour and has all of the signature elements that have made the band so essential: super catchy dance grooves, crooning melancholic vocals and an icy depth at once effortlessly cool and hopelessly romantic.

Lust For Youth “Accidental Win” Lyrics:
On the day of the accident
Drove the car in reverse
Headed out on the interstate
Took a turn for the worse
In a moment of confidence
In a driverless car
Occupied like the head of state
Detonating a star
You’ve been questioning
Just what you descended from
So your lineage is gone
What gave it away?
Suppose you succeed
It’ll undeniably be an accidental win
Going out like we used to do
Like the soviet and mao
We couldn’t get enough of you
That was then now is now
Undisputed necessity
A devoted applause
For your biggest accomplishment
Employee of the month
You’ve been questioning
Just what you descended from
So your lineage is gone
What gave it away?
Suppose you succeed
It’ll undeniably be an accidental win
Suddenly it’s illogical
Suddenly got a lead
Diabolical attributes
Through your family tree
On the day of the accident
You set out on the day of the accident
You must know by now
Anyway it won’t be long
So your lineage is gone
What gave it away?
Suppose you succeed
It’ll almost certainly be an accidental win
