Glasgow noisy post-punk duo Memes (aka John McLinden and Paul McLinden) have premiered their new single “Leader“, alongside an accompanying music video.
Commenting on the track, Memes explain:
“An aspiring leader, feeling rejected and dejected, takes a stroll along the Thames after a long day at the Commons.
Taking inspiration from the viral ‘dancing’ videos of May, Gove, Johnson et al, he decides to give it a go himself.
A public park is chosen to draw attention to his attempt at dancing. He’s not sure where the pigs head came from, a colleague left it in The Strangers’ Bar. A leftover from a secret ritual perhaps…”.
