Monobloc Unleash New Single/Video "Take Me"

New York City indie / post punk band Monobloc have unleashed their new single “Take Me“, and its accompanying visuals.

The song is out now and follows on from their single “Where Is My Garden“ released back in July. Grab it here.

UPDATE 12/16/2024: “Take Me” is our new Single of the Week!

Speaking about it, frontman Tim Waldron says:

“Musically, “Take Me” was written around the time we were exploring the whole Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound method—massive sounding songs that aren’t just drenched in reverb but more so well placed illusion. We wanted a song for a room we’re not yet big enough to play. A goal post. Lyrically, I wanted a confession from someone knowingly drinking the Kool-Aid: “Take me where you want me. I want to be your fool.” The song transitions from desperate shouts into the void to a laid-back, tongue-in-cheek croon.

“Take Me” is our boot-up sequence. It’s the sound of a band finding its footing and setting off on its journey. This is the song we always imagined would be listeners’ first introduction to the project, though reality chose a different path. However for a handful of listeners it will be.”

The video, shot in both NYC and across the world, features live footage of the group taken from a whirlwind twelve months at home and abroad, self-directed by the band.
