Nashville-based DIY punk outfit Screen Star (the new solo project of ex-Snooper Matthew Campbell) has his debut single and video “Eyes Wide Shut“.
As Campbell said to Tremendo Garage, this new project is: “music made from cheap Casio synths and plywood guitars. The product of cheap beer, late nights, and a whole lot of nonsense. The name Screen Star is both satire on the internet punk movement and a reference to being a self proclaimed cinephile. Blending elements of egg punk, synth punk, and garage punk into something that defies conventional stereotypes amongst those genres.”
