Aussie post punk/synth wave band screensaver have shared the video for their current single “Future Trash”.
The track features on their sophomore album ‘Decent Shapes‘, out this Friday, October 20th via Poison City Records (Aus) and Upset The Rhythm (UK). Buy your copy here.
Speaking about it, screensaver’s Krystal Maynard said: “The lyrical content for “Future Trash” was inspired by a throwaway name for the original demo. Our drummer James called the song “nylon,” which set me on a path thinking about the fabric created in the 1930s and in turn got me thinking about all these other materials we’ve created over the last century that are completely unsustainable. Advertising companies present these products like essential items for modern living but really it’s just trash: your new fast fashion purchase or tech gadget or cheap Kmart homeware item is just future trash.”
