Our featured single this week is “Take Me Away” by Greek synth pop/indie/synthwave project Yellow Red.
Yellow Red is the solo project of Stefanos Manousis, founding member of shoegaze / dream pop band Sugar for The Pill. Driven by a passion for 80’s synth-pop and new wave to contemporary synth-pop bands, Manousis creates a nostalgic yet forward-looking sound where analog nostalgia meets a fresh, digital twist with catchy melodies, and reflective lyrics that explore the highs and lows of modern life and delve into love, human connection, and self-discovery.
Yellow Red invite listeners to dance, dream, and lose themselves in an “orange” sonic journey.
After all, “orange is the new black”!
The song, produced by Alex Bolpasis and Stefanos Manousis, is out now via Make Me Happy and serves as a preview of his forthcoming full album ‘My Little Words’, which will be released next year. Get it here.

Yellow Red “Take Me Away” Lyrics:
My face is leaving me
Words they’re never there for me
And I see my reflection οn a window
A whisper stays beneath my breath
Take me away, take me away, take me away, up to another day
Take me away, take me away, up to another day
Thank you for the voice, the eyes and the memories
Take me away, take me away, take me away, up to another day
Take me away, take me away, up to another day
Take my hand, save your words
Where does luck come from?
Take me away, take me away, take me away, up to another day
Take me away, take me away, up to another day
Take me away, take me away, up
to another day
