Greek dream pop/shoegaze band Sugar For The Pill have aired a lyric video for their latest single “Soul Can Wait”.
The song is taken from their album ‘Wanderlust‘, released back in March via Shelflife Records. Get it here.
Sugar for the Pill’s music feels like “floating”. At times with a wider, dynamic momentum created by a well reined wall of sound, influenced by early 90’s shoegaze like ‘My Bloody Valentine’ and ‘Slowdive’, and at times like a soft travelling cloud of heavenly female vocals that will remind you of dreamy indie/ alternative bands, like ‘Cocteau Twins’ and ‘Lush’ and even a bit of ‘Interpol’, Sugar for the Pill levitate through this earth, painting their emotions along their path.

Sugar For The Pill “Soul Can Wait” Lyrics:
Touch. It is touch that is the deadliest enemy of
loyalty, monogamy, gentility
I have lost my virginity
cracks are always visible
like scars that never fully heal.
Because of you…
And all the things that you do
Don’t try to wake me up
The soul can wait
Was it all in my head?
Or all is dead just you and me…
A Lunar trick?
I don’t want to grow
So please don’t go
I hide half of my face, up high with all its grace
Because of you…
And all the things that you do
Don’t try to wake me up
The soul can wait
Nothing could ever be good enough for you
I’m trying but all I want to paint is you
