Liverpool figureheads of the original indie/dance crossover scene, DIY-driven eighties post-punks The Farm have shared their new single “Moment In Time“, and its accompanying video.
The track features on their long-awaited, fifth studio album, Let The Music (Take Control), their first since 1994, due to be released on June 20 via Modern Sky. They have previously shared, Forever & Ever. Get it here.
Recorded in their home city and produced in the company of Mike Cave (The Charlatans, Bloc Party), the 10-track album was written and performed by all five original ‘heyday’ line-up of Peter Hooton (vocals), Steve Grimes (guitar/keys), Keith Mullin (guitar), Carl Hunter (bass), and Roy Boulter (drums).
Instantly recognisable by sound for their aspirational, observational and near-spiritual upbeat and electro-inspired indie, and by sight for their mod-ish terrace gang wardrobe, the formerly riotous, now reformed 80s/90s Liverpool five-piece return as wised-up statesmen of pop and look ahead to the release of the album.
