Southend-on-Sea indie pop/indie rock four-piece The Trusted have unleashed their new single “Lost Soul“.
The song serves as the title track of their brand new EP ‘Lost Soul‘, out today January 5, including their previously released songs: “Burning The Night,” “Marrow,” and “Doomsday“. Grab it here.
Produced/mixed by Rees Broomfield and mastered by Doug van Sloun, these five tunes on the EP were all recorded and produced simultaneously, forming a cohesive collection that delves into the realm of human emotion.
Speaking about it, The band shared:
“Lost Soul” serves as an anthem for those who feel like outsiders, yearning to reclaim their place in society amidst the overwhelming noise. Conversely, “Gimme Your Devotion” explores the dynamics of hero worship, narrated from the perspective of a powerful figure engaging with a devoted fan. It’s a poignant reflection on social power imbalances. To create an emotional journey, we have strategically woven these tracks in-between “Marrow,” “Doomsday,” and “Burning The Night.”
