The Trusted Unveil Music Video For "Doomsday"

Southend-on-Sea indie pop/indie rock four-piece The Trusted have unveiled the video for their latest single “Doomsday“.

The track is part of our current playlist and came out in June. Grab it here

‘Doomsday’ is a song about ‘everything falling apart’ in the words of songwriter and lead singer Tom Cunningham. ‘It’s a loud rocket-fueled cry for help; a psychological apocalypse.’

The lyrics have an extremely personal cry for help message reflected in Cunningham’s hypnotic and emotional vocal performance. Additionally, the band creates a huge soundscape of guitars and drums that is just crying out to be played loud in appreciation of the catchy and instantly memorable chorus.

The band’s Tom Cunningham said:

“We’re living in a world on the on the brink of war and collapse, yet ‘Doomsday ’is a song about a more personal Armageddon. We all have our own, in-built doomsday clocks and sometimes, our minds can reach a breaking point.”

The Trusted “Doomsday” Lyrics:

(1)
I heard the world, is ending
I don’t know how I’m supposed to feel
we’re playing poker, with our demons
but i’ve got nothing left fort you steal

(2)
So throw yourself against the wall
don’t let em see you crying
Get on your knees and start to crawl
take my love by lying
watch it all just crash and burn
We’re in a really bad place
make way for your doomsday

Just stop, all your talking
please keep both hands on the wheel
you’re angry and you’re howling
I’ve got no time, left to kill

Repeat (1), (2)
