London indie / alt duo The WAEVE (aka Blur’s Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall) have aired their new single “City Lights“, alongside a music video.
The single is out now via Transgressive Records and is the first taste of their forthcoming soon-to-be announced second studio album, the follow-up to last year’s eponymous debut The WAEVE . Grab it here.
Speaking about it, they said: “The city lights bestow a unique magic on everyone – the beautiful and the grotesque, the angels and the devils – shining and seductive, one and all… Who wants to love you and who wants to destroy you?”

About
The coming together of two musicians who, through working together have formed a new, singular, sonic identity. A powerful elixir of cinematic British folk-rock, post-punk, organic song-writing and freefall jamming. Themes of oblivion and surrender are juxtaposed with suggestions of hopefulness and light. Against a brutal global backdrop of impending apocalypse and despair, Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall strive to free themselves through the defiant optimism of making music.
