Ventrelles Unleash New Single/Video "Happenstance (A Song For Lifeshare)"

Manchester indie quartet Ventrelles have unleashed the video for their new single “Happenstance (A Song For Lifeshare)“.

The band have joined forces with Manchester’s oldest homelessness charity this Christmas to raise some funds to support their work. Lifeshare provides crisis support for 18-25s, promotes digital inclusion as the Manchester Digital Collective, and fights food and fuel poverty with The Breakfast Project. The Breakfast Project provides hot meals for rough sleepers every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday year round.

The song, produced by Dean Glover at Vibe Manchester is out now. Get it here.

Ventrelles are a Manchester-based quartet headed by Phil Knox, fusing the styles of 80’s guitar groups such as Pale Fountains and Echo and the Bunnymen and sometimes darker tinged edges of The Chameleons and The Jesus and Mary Chain with a punchy delivery, sun-soaked guitars, energetic rhythms, life-affirming vocals and soulful bass lines.

Ventrelles “Happenstance” Lyrics:

Have you been hiding all the sand inside the hourglass?
I can’t find the feeling that you can’t get back.
In a little moment of Happenstance, tell it so it don’t fall apart.

Annie don’t you worry, ’cause it’s miles away.
Don’t throw away the past for the future’s sake.
Tell everyone you know about the plans you made.
Tell them so they don’t fall apart.

And I see it now, you’ve been walking ’round the room like a thunderstorm.
Did you ever get the feeling that you’d been left behind, or was you standing in a river of tears?
Standing in a river of tears.
Was you standing in a river of tears?

The more you think the less you understand.
