LA-based conceptual pop band YACHT have unveiled the video for their latest single “Finger In Your Eye“.

Commenting on the video, they say:
When we first moved back to LA in 2011, we went to a lot of comedy shows.
Our favorite show in LA was called Power Violence. Every Sunday, four skaters took over a black-box theater on a dead stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard to try sketches, show videos, and break things. Two of them—Clay Tatum and Whitmer Thomas—were best friends from back home in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Eventually we became friends and they invited us to join the show. We did a segment where we’d improvise music while a comedian would riff under a black light. A few years later Whit and Clay directed the music video for “Plastic Soul,” which was really just an excuse for all of us to go down to Gulf Shores, drink banana daiquiris, swim with dolphins and set off a lot of illegal fireworks.
Fast-forward to now: our video for “Finger In Your Eye” is out today, directed by our friend Clay Tatum! It stars quite a few of our other local buddies: watch for cameos by comedy legend Tom Scharpling, HQ Trivia’s Scott Rogowsky, Tom Carroll of Tom Explores LA, Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions winner Buzzy Cohen, alternative rock icon and celebrity advice columnist Max Collins of Eve 6, and our number one get, Jenny Lee, cat wrangler to the stars.
