UK synthpop/new wave legends A Flock Of Seagulls have revealed a lyric video for their latest single “Lovers and Strangers”.
The track features on their sixth studio album ‘Some Dreams‘ (included in our Best Albums of 2024 list), released in December last year via August Day Recordings. Grab your copy here if you haven’t already.
“Lovers and Strangers” is the brand-new single from A Flock Of Seagulls, and it’s a refreshing return to form. Mike Score mixes the band’s classic ’80s vibe with a more modern twist, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and current with its big rolling synths and encapsulating guitar runs. The track touches on the complexity of relationships – how we connect, drift apart, and sometimes remain strangers despite the closeness we once shared. It’s clear that A Flock Of Seagulls still has a unique way of blending heartfelt lyrics with catchy, unforgettable melodies.
