Canadian cold wave / post-punk / synth pop /new wave band Actors have premiered their new single “In Real Life“, and its accompanying video.
The song is out now through Artoffact Records and marks the band’s first proper release since their 2021 acclaimed album Acts of Worship. They have promised 2024 will be a year of singles, videos, and live dates before the release of their highly-anticipated full-length album.

Speaking about it, banleader Jason Corbett says: “Writing and recording music is a kind of creative dance. You don’t always know who’s leading. You just do your best to listen and not get in the way. “In Real Life” is the beginning of another chapter of the ACTORS journey.”

About
Actors are Jason Corbett (vocals/guitar), Shannon Hemmett (synth/vocals), Kendall Wooding (bass/vocals), and Adam Fink (Drums). The band released a string of popular singles, starting with “Post Traumatic Love” in 2012, building a dedicated fanbase while eschewing a debut album release for the band’s first six years of existence. In 2018, they signed with Toronto-based Artoffact Records and released its long-awaited debut, It Will Come to You.
Corbett writes, produces, mixes, and masters all ACTORS music at his own Vancouver studio, Jacknife Sound and names David Bowie as a fundamental influence. But much more than a retro act, this is music that stands all on its own, full of life and complete with unforgettable hooks.
