Big Image Release New Single/Video "My Old Man"

Birmingham indie dance / baggy / alt band Big Image (formerly known as Ivory Wave) have released their new single “My Old Man“, alongside a music video.

The track follows on from their track “Lost Souls”, which was featured as Single of the Week on April 15.

Big Image creates euphoric and transformative pop for the masses by combining the reverb-drenched piano of house, the propelling breakbeats of drum & bass, and the bubbling buoyancy of baggy to create a cocktail sound that is entirely theirs. With world-weary lyricism and arms-around-shoulders sentiment, the Midlands four piece – composed of George Johnson (lead vocals), Connor Mcminn (guitar), Luke Morris (bass/guitar) and Seb Baldwin (drums) – make euphoric and transformative pop for the masses.

Big Image “My Old Man” Lyrics:

When I was small boy
My old man said to me
Live life don’t ever give up
These days bad luck always comes in threes
Knocks you down when you’re getting back up
Do what you do
Never too late to choose
A brand or your name as a slogan
Oh man well kid
Maybe then you’ll see
You should live life
And never give up

At the time I never thought about it
Words with no message there
But now I think I realise it
In life there’s no minutes spare
It took time for the message to reach me
It’s just a lesson that’s learnt with age
At the time I thought this guys preaching
But now I think I know just how the story goes
And it’s something that I won’t forget
