Manchester indie rock/indie pop band Blossoms have returned with their new single “What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?”, alongside a music video.
The song, produced by The Coral‘s frontman James Kelly and J Lloyd of Jungle, is out now via the band’s own label ODD SK. It follows their track “To Do List (After The Breakup)”, released in October last year.
Speaking about the collaboration with J Lloyd, the band shared:
“We’ve always been big fans of Jungle so we reached out to them last year about working together. This was the first song we worked on, it came together in a couple of hours and we absolutely love it. Sonically, it feels like a new avenue for the band but it still retains the core Blossoms DNA”.

Blossoms “What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?” Lyrics:
Spilt my tea upon the floor
Trying to write a song revealing all
It’s like I’m only half around
And most of the time
I’m feeling down
Why do all the simple things now
Seem to fill my head with doubt
I don’t think I’d talk like this to anybody
But you’re not anybody
What can I say
After I’m sorry?
I’m only in denial about how
For a while I shut you out
There’s a feeling deep inside I
Don’t believe I’ll ever find
Happiness and all the things that
Come with it I think I lack
I don’t think I’d talk like this to anybody
But you’re not anybody
What can I say
After I’m sorry?
This heavy weight
Comes without warning
When some tender pain
Calls in the morning
What can I say?
I won’t lie I’ve felt this for awhile
I seem to be outside myself
So help me out cos I need time
There’s something yet to find
So listen to my eyes
I’ll be the one to say I’m sorry
