Portland, OR synthpop / darkwave/ electronic /dance band Ceremony Shadows have aired the Slighter Undercurrent Mix of their track “Altars“.
The original song came out in February and will feature on the band’s forthcoming full-length album (TBA), it follows their track “Resistance”, released in April. Grab it here.

“Altars” is about loving the divine within yourself and without, and the conscious and unconscious denial of the divine. But Altars is also a mirror to the potential darkness and perversion in love within duality. Because in duality we have two choices: Move toward (attraction, positive) or move away (aversion, negative).
We dislike anything and anyone that causes us (unwanted) pain physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Life, love, and spirituality are about finding the barely remembered oneness that was lost. When we find it, we realize we were whole all along.
