German indie rock/dream pop duo Deathsport have unveiled their new single “End of the World“, alongside a video.
The song serves as the latest preview from their upcoming EP ‘Problem‘, set to arrive on August 16 via Duchess Box Records. Pre-order it here.
Deathsport are Mike and Tom Zitzelsberger. Their youth was shaped by strong influences from the dreampop and shoegaze scenes, inspiring them to experiment with various genres, projects, and approaches. The brothers combine rhythmic bass lines with a melancholic tone which has been compared to acts such as New Order, who the band sees as a strong influence on their sound.
Discussing the new single, Deathsport explains:
“‘End of the World’ is the perfect song for when life totally sucks and you need someone to open your eyes. Think everyone is against you? Maybe you’re the problem. With lyrics that basically say ‘suck it up’ and a musical foundation that makes you wanna dance through the chaos, this song proves that every end is just a new beginning.“
