EKKSTACY Announces Self-Titled LP, Shares "bella" & "i can't find anyone"

Vancouver, BC indie/alt musician EKKSTACY has announced the release of his new self-titled album, and has shared two new singles called “bella” & “i can’t find anyone“.

Due to be released January 19th via United Masters, The follow-up to his 2022 album Misery, was recorded with frequent collaborators Mangetsu and Apob, and mixed by revered studio figure Chris Coady (Beach House, Future Islands, The Drums…).

According to the press, The 13-track album sees the artist continuing his own brand of post-punk, new wave and even surf rock, and is an autobiographical reflection on [EKKSTACY’s] life as a musician and the highs and lows of the solitude that comes with creating art and touring.

On “bella,” EKKSTACY describes a mysterious girl who has captured his heart at first sight with a bouncy amalgamation of the surf and garage rock influences that are at his heart. While “i can’t find anyone” signals a dramatic shift in tone to the wider spectrum of emotion he shares on this album, with a track that sonically mirrors the feeling of spiraling into a pit of despair.
