Birmingham indie rock/garage/post punk Fergy LH have unveiled their frenetic debut single “Talk It Out“.
Lyrically examining toxic masculinity in hope of a better way forward, the track is out now via Lovebuzz. Get it here.
UPDATE 3/3/2025: “Talk It Out” is our new Single of the Week!
Consisting of Liam McKeown (guitar/vocals), Fergal Hartnett (guitar/lead vocals), Luke D’Aulerio (drums) and Michael McNab (bass), Fergy LH are a ticking time bomb of a band. With Irish roots, the energetic quartet fuse far-flung garage rock with an undeniable punk sensibility.
‘Talk It Out’ is a no holds barred debut, which hurtles along at speed and lands somewhere between Osees’ mania, King Gizzard’s psychedelia and the ragged indie-punk of The Libertines. There’s bags of cheeky personality on show as Fergal Hartnett delivers visceral verses and rambles through the breakdown before exploding into the almighty final chorus and a cathartic outro.
Speaking about it, the band explain:
“The song was inspired by passing my off licence and noticing all the work lads stopping off in their vans and going into the off licence to pick up booze after work. Just thought that’s what a lot of men do, rather than talk to their mates about their day or what’s going on.”
