Los Angeles/NY ebm/post punk/synthwave/industrial duo FUEDAL have unleashed their new single “Seam Grip“.
The song features on their upcoming EP ‘Max Continuous Power‘, due out on May 22 through à La Carte Records. Pre-order it here.
According to the press release, “Max Continuous Power”, is a six-track surge of high-voltage EBM and industrial menace. Following up 2023’s Unit 1—a full-length debut that established their no-frills approach to electronic music—the duo of Matt Francini and Troy Woodhall dial up the intensity, crafting an EP built for dance floors and dark spaces alike.
Forged in sweat-soaked venues, this new EP refines FUEDAL’s blueprint: menacing basslines, serrated synth sequences, as well as the kind of pounding percussion that triggers involuntary movement. Vocals cut through with a visceral urgency, offering anthemic, almost militaristic calls to action. Beneath the aggressive veneer, the duo explores themes of futility and masochism, reveling in a certain kind of nihilistic ecstasy. As FUEDAL themselves put it: “When did anger start sounding this fun?”.
FUEDAL’s DNA is rooted in the old-school machine music of Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb, but the sheen of Nine Inch Nails-style production adds a sharpened edge. With “Max Continuous Power”, they continue to carve out their own space in the modern EBM landscape—one where aggression, tension, and catharsis collapse into each other on the dance floor.
