Glad Sisifus Releases New Single "Fill The Gaps"

Slovak indie/bedroom pop/jangle pop artist Glad Sisifus (aka producer Nathan Mikletič), has released his new single “Fill The Gaps“.

The project, described as 90s-inspired dreamo wrapped in a bedroom pop aesthetic, began in early 2020. The name is inspired by a quote in a book written by Albert Camus, which represents being aware of the hopelessness of life but still striving to find purpose. The songs have a laid back vibe but are still meaningful on a personal level accompanied by dreamy guitars, pop synths, tape saturated vocals, tight drum beats and driving bass.

Speaking about it, he shares: “I started making this song exactly one year ago, and it’s a great feeling to finally share this with you. I explored themes of wanting to break out of a cycle, being entangled in a bad habit, and feelings of being stuck. Despite the challenges, the instrumentals and melodies make me feel hopeful and uplifted, and I hope it will do the same for you.”

Glad Sisifus “Fill The Gaps” Lyrics:

Monday i relieve
Friday drink myself to sleep
The circle just goes round and round in no way
Before I could just breathe
Today choke on my beliefs
I don’t want this till the end of the day

I’ll try not to run away
Don’t wanna race myself
Can’t have chained my own head
Made my own traps
I need to fill the gaps

Monday starts to creep
Couldn’t take another leap
I can feel me getting further away
Might give up a dream
Is it ever as it seems
Will I decide it over my own brain

I’ll try not to run away
Don’t wanna race myself
Can’t have chained my own head
Made my own traps
I need to fill the gaps

I’ll try not to run away
Don’t wanna race myself
Can’t have chained my own head
Made my own traps
I need to fill the gaps
