Flint, Michigan shoegaze/slow core/indie rock/alt band Greet Death have unleashed their new single “Country Girl” and its accompanying music video.
The track serves as the lead single from their upcoming album ‘Die In Love‘, due to be released on June 27 through Deathwish Inc. Pre-order your copy here.
“Die In Love” is a beautifully melancholic album by Greet Death. The band’s dizzying melodic nature shines throughout its nine tracks, featuring delicate acoustic shimmers, somber percussion, and high-volume post-everything fuzz. The album follows on from their 2019’s New Hell and 2022’s New Hell EP.
Commenting on the track, vocalist/guitarist Harper Boyhtari explains that is about “…identity, alienation, and detachment. It’s like trying to solve a murder mystery and finding out you were the killer the whole time.”
