Holm Announces New Album ‘Alien Health’, Shares Title Track

Holm Announces New Album 'Alien Health', Airs Title Track

Holm the solo project by Mikkel Holm Silkjær (from Danish indie rock band Yung) has announced the release of his sophomore album ‘Alien Health‘.

The follow-up to their solo debut LP Why Don’t You Dance, recorded and mixed by long-time collaborator Neil Robert Young, will be available on September 8 through PNKSLM Recordings. Pre-order your copy here.

‘Alien Health’, he continues to step away from his group’s predilection for taut rock and roll and instead embracing a different side of his musical personality, one defined by his sharp ear for a hook, as well as – crucially – his burgeoning ability as an expressive lyricist. Alien Health is full of melodic and addictive cuts and is a honest, reflective, and emotionally-charged body of work.

The title ‘Alien Health’, of course, would be a fitting summation of all the rumination and self-doubt. “It’s the idea of looking at your own reflection and your perception of yourself for so long that it falls apart,” Silkjær explains. “At some point, you become kind of alien to yourself.”
