Update 04/29/2024: “The Next One” is out new Single of the Week!
The band take inspiration from the likes of The Stooges, Primal Scream & Underworld. Their signature sound is a sonic onslaught of rock n roll combined with dance music. Produced by Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream / Sabres of Paradise/ Andrew Weatherall) it is a perfect amalgamation of what he best describes as “Electronic Rock n Roll”.
Speaking about their music and the upcoming EP, HYM’s Tom Newman told Soundsphere:
“We wanted to smash our love of rock and electronica together to make something that’s so exciting you couldn’t help but move. What if The Stooges were produced by The Chemical Brothers…?? I think that’s been our intent for all the songs on this EP. The unifying euphoria of EDM with the relatable raw power of Rock n Roll. It’s melding all the things we love and hopefully you’ll get a sense of that when you listen or see us live…”

Holy Youth Movement “The Next One” Lyrics:
Make sense out of all you love
The next one the big one is waiting
You still got it dam you still got it all
You were moving to a different beat
Your ways wrap around me
Hidden rays happen to find me
Broken by the beat of the drums
Days that have yet to come
You made me a believer
Still life carries you on
Step into the mirror
It’s here where you belong
Where you belong
Make sense out of all above
Once said the sunset is waiting
You steal something oh you steal something you need
I’m praising you from here on out
