JUNO Premiere New Single "One More Time"

Liverpool based indie/alternative/nu-gaze band JUNO have premiered their new single “One More Time“.

The song, recorded and produced by Ruben Angress and JUNO, mixed by Richie Kennedy and mastered by Mark Gardiner (Ride), is out now. Get it here.

UPDATE 10/02/2023: “One More Time” is our new Single of the Week!

Formed in Hampshire, the band consists of Max Mullen (Lead Vocals), Ben Coles (Guitar), George Vinall (Guitar), Will Clawson (Drums), and Tom Greathead (Bass). JUNO’s earliest recordings and live shows took place while all members were studying for their GCSEs.

Strongly influenced by the soaring guitar tones of the shoegaze movement, upbeat rhythms and intricate bass lines, JUNO amalgamates the ambience of the 90s with the drive of the modern alternative scene.  Max Mullen’s honest and vulnerable lyrics are paired with bold hooks a-plenty a combination that ensures JUNO are both vividly contemporary and urgently relevant.

Speaking about ‘One More Time’ singer Max says:

The song describes the confusion of a breakup and the conflicting feelings of betrayal and the remaining love for the other person. It focuses on the longing to love that person just one more time, while knowing it would only make things worse.”

While many bands choose their name after an influential Swedish arthouse movie, a semi obscure French novel or their favourite Interpol deep cut, singer Max Mullen’s family dog’s name is Juno. This was more than enough reason to name the band JUNO.  Erstwhile movie nerds and synth obsessed gearheads may beg to differ, but the dog wins this time.
