Knitting Reveal New Single/Video "Heaven"

Montreal bedroom pop/grunge/indie rock/ lo-fi band Knitting have revealed their new single “Heaven“, alongside a music video.

The song is taken from their upcoming debut album ‘Some Kind of Heaven‘, due to be released on September 6 through Mint Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Knitting is Mischa Dempsey, Sarah Harris, Piper Curtis, and Andy Mulcair. With “sinuous, bouncy guitars…and choruses that have the potential to metamorphose into earworms” (FME), knitting makes guitar driven and lyrically introspective indie rock evoking the nostalgia of 90s alternative rock bands like Pavement, Pixies and Sonic Youth.

Vocalist Mischa Dempsey said of the track:

A friend of mine once told me that four leaf clovers are pretty easy to find. All you have to do is keep your eyes peeled—apparently they grow in patches because they all come from a mutated set of roots. While I was recovering from top surgery I took daily walks around Parc Jeanne Mance with my eyes glued to the ground. I would crouch on the side of the path and look through patches of clovers, but never managed to find a single one. This song is about the idea of perceiving yourself as having ‘bad luck,’ and how ultimately it can limit you from really understanding yourself.”
