German indie pop / synthwave artist Levin Goes Lightly has revealed his new single “Wasser“.
Majestic, glamorous & driving, yet as refreshing as the titular element: “Wasser” (Water). The latest single from androgynous eccentric Levin Goes Lightly is a pop song that plumbs the depths of post punk, cold wave and the dance floor.
In the text, Levin follows the lonely, mysterious moray eels into the depths of the sea, as swimming lovers. They carry the poison for each other within themselves. Is it a toxic or a harmonious relationship? – Probably, as always, both. If “water” had a color, the track would be such a deep blue that it almost seems black. But only almost.
