Belgian protopunk/ post punk/ dance punk outfit Lézard have release their new single “Manifastique” and its accompanying video.
The song is out today, March 19 via Mayway Records. Buy it here.
Protopunk Disco, qu’est-ce que c’est? If ‘Manifastique’ sounds like Devo, Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem with some funky Prince vibes thrown in, you’re absolutely right.
Lézard, fronted by Neil Claes and Myrthe Marnef, are one of the hottest acts in European indie, injecting their post punk with deliciously quirky French lyrics.
Having played at Best Kept Secret (NL) and showcase festivals like Reeperbahn (DE), Viva Sounds (SE), Fifty Lab (BE) and MaMA (FR), shows at Block Party (FR) and Nürnberg Pop (DE) are next. Their very first club show at the iconic Ancienne Belgique in Brussels has been sold out for weeks.
