Swedish indie duo LOW-RES have aired the video for their latest single “Kitchen (feat. Maria Pettersson & Calle Olsson)“.

The track features on their recent album ‘Därför‘, released last month (May 5) through Adrian Recordings. Buy it here.

“Using an old DV camera from the 90s, the video for “Kitchen” gives you a picture of how the song was actually created — through a trip to a cabin in the woods where two people who barely know each other spend a weekend making music, in the kitchen. Music that later became the song “Kitchen.””

Collaborating with Maria Pettersson and Calle Olsson (Paper, Paddington DC, The Bear Quartet) for the release, ‘Kitchen’ makes for a wonderfully broad and atmospheric listen. Channelling another heady dose of that vibrant post-punk energy they have showcased throughout these last few months, their latest endeavour adds another fresh and vital addition to their eagerly-awaited new full-length.

LOW-RES write pulsating pop tunes influenced by 90s ambient guitars and analog synthesisers. The eleven songs on ‘Därför’ drag you in, one by one, to a parallel universe where music from bygone eras like krautrock, early electronic pop/rock and also psychedelia are alive and well, sounding as fresh as ever in modern-day Sweden.
