‘Thinker’ is a truly beautiful ballad which will undoubtedly find its name amongst some of the greatest songs of all time, a heartfelt sweet song accompanied by divine strings, lyrics that literally speak to your heart. Marseille are showing that they have what it takes for their name to be up in lights amongst the most legendary of bands. They are also proving that they are musicians at the top of their game with songs to set to define a generation.
Marseille lead singer and songwriter, Will Brown, shares:
“This song was initially written when I was only about 13 or 14. Joe saw potential in the song and insisted we bring it back into the light of day. I always saw the song about relationships until recently. I now see it as a song which talks about the loss of loved ones and all the things you want to say to them but can’t now they’re gone.”
Marseille are: Will Brown (vocals/backing vocals/rhythm guitar/lead guitar/percussion/keyboard), Joe Labram (lead guitar/backing vocals/rhythm guitar), Tom Spray (drums/percussion), Lennon Hall (backing vocals/rhythm guitar/lead guitar), and Felix Moxey (bass/guitar).
Although only formed in 2021, the band have released an envious array of hit singles. In 2022 they released ‘Forget It All’, ‘Might As Well Be Mine,’ and ‘The Jungle’, also the Vega Rally Remix of the track and the b-side of ‘The Universe Is Yours’, all of which were received to much critical acclaim and support. They have also enjoyed performances at the famous Y-Not and Isle Of Wight Festivals.
Kicking off the new year Marseille showed no signs of slowing down, with the release of their hit single ‘Only Just Begun’.
