Mekong Reveals Music Video For "Danse Danse"

Kraków, Poland post punk /coldwave /alt /darkwave artist Mekong has revealed the video for his latest single “Danse Danse”.

The song, produced by Renato Alves, serves as the title track of his sophomore album ‘Danse Danse‘, which came out in May via French label Icy Cold Records. Get it here if you haven’t already.

Mekong, aka Renato Alves sings about themes of alienation with strong bass lines and beautiful echoing guitar riffs. The result is a unique post-punk, darkwave vibe served with a touch of 80s gothic culture. It speaks the mind of one half-alienated Portuguese man living in Krakow. It’s minimal yet powerful with strong bass lines and echoing guitar sounds all over.

‘Danse Danse’ is a conceptual album that narrates the journey of a troubled young woman. In a previous press release, Alves explained: “Danse Danse tells the story of a troubled young woman struggling with her inner demons and feeling isolated from the outside world. As the night wears on, she descends into chaos.”

The visually captivating music video directed by Pedro Viernes, stars Liudmyla Radyk continuing her role from the previous two singles’ videos Going Numb and Ice Cold. Watch it below.
