Normal Bias Announce Debut LP 'Kingdom Come', Air "Falling Down"

New York/Atlanta synthwave/ebm/techno/industrial-body-funk duo Normal Bias have announced the release of their debut album, Kingdom Come.

To mark the announcement, they have shared the sweeping first single, ‘Falling Down‘. The 8-track record will be out on October 25 via Synthicide and DKA Records. Pre-order it here.

According to the press release, “Kingdom Come,” finds divinity in the unknown. As the follow up to their self-titled EP, the duo of Matt Weiner (TWINS) and Chris C. (Multiple Man) have taken their specific sound of “industrial body funk” and refined it with “Kingdom Come.” While it’s just as quirky and littered with aural curiosities, there’s a new sophistication that seeps through and grips tightly.

The sensual lead single “Falling Down”, is driven by a chunky EBM bassline as Weiner begs for clarity, offering tithes in exchange for reprieve from his suffering.

With an unabashed sincerity in their approach, Normal Bias’ “Kingdom Come” fits somewhere between Martin Gore’s darkest hours and Tom Ellard’s most melodic. The album finds comfort in its anxiety-ridden schematics, a dark pop oeuvre branded by its search for spirituality, for a release from the torment that binds.
