Salt Lake City-based indie rock/dream pop band Pale Dream have dropped the video for their newest single “Something Tells Me“.
The track has been added to our current playlist and came out last week (May 26). Get it here.
Self-identified as a “lame indie rock band”, the members of Pale Dream sport a variety of looks, personalities, and stage presence that lends itself to the “misfit wallflower” theme that shows up throughout their music.
Lead vocalist Trey Hoskins gives an emotional vocal performance amidst sparkling guitar riffs and also washy percussions. His voice provides a sense of optimism for better results between lovers starting anew, the romantic sway of the instrumentation capturing the kind of charisma that makes you want to feel the same way.
The band is working to release a second LP in late 2023 and tour shortly thereafter. With a few new singles up their sleeve, Pale Dream plans to continue to diversify their sound and cultivate a grassroots following.

Pale Dream is Trey Hoskins (lead vocals, guitar), Mari Ericksen (vocals, drums), Michael Hockman (guitars), Braydon Buell (bass) and Nate Harris (keys).
Formed between Ericksen and Hoskins in 2018 amid their post–high school youth, Pale Dream dropped their EP, Velvet, in 2021 and their debut LP Curse marked their sophomore stint in ’80s and ’90s new wave, goth and dreampop sonics.
