Palm Ghosts Air "Pulse" & "Up the Down Escalator"

Nashville, TN dream pop / new wave / post punk band Palm Ghosts have aired their new single “Pulse”. They have also shared their cover of The Chameleons classic “Up the Down Escalator“.

The track is taken from the upcoming EP ‘Escape‘, out on May 10. Pre-order it here.

Palm Ghosts bassist/vocalist Joseph Lekkas says: “‘Pulse’ is about a young couple letting loose together in a bustling city.”

About their cover of “Up The Down Escalator”, they said they are huge fans of The Chameleons and always wanted to cover this song. All proceeds to the track will go to To Write Love on Her Arms, a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and invest directly into treatment and recovery.

The band will release a double LP, called Facades, later this year. The release will feature 20 songs that mix genres and moods like no other release in Palm Ghost’s large catalog. The songs will explore topics like religion, cults, love, loss and survival in the modern age. Some with beautiful melodies, some dark and brooding, but 100 percent Palm Ghosts.
