British synth-pop legends Pet Shop Boys have announced the release of their brand new studio album, ‘Nonetheless‘.
Along with the album announcement, the duo premiered the lead single “Loneliness” via a music video. The album will be out on April 26th via Parlophone. Pre-order your copy here.
Featuring ten tracks, “Nonetheless” was recorded and mixed in London last year, and marks the duo’s first album with producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, known for his work with artists like Blur and Depeche Mode.
In a statement, Pet Shop Boys said: “We wanted this album to be a celebration of the unique and diverse emotions that make us human. From the more dance-orientated tracks to the raw poignancy of the introspective ballads, with their beautiful string arrangements, each track tells a story and contributes to the overall narrative of the album.”
They continued: “We’re very excited to release this new album. Its 10 tracks are the strongest indicators of where we are today. Like much of our music, it’s very reflective. It was great to work with James Ford, who we think has brought new elements to our music.”
