New York City-based lo-fi/dream pop duo Phantom Handshakes has premiered their new single “Dusk Enchanted“.
The track is another taste of their upcoming album, Sirens At Golden Hour, which will be released on August 21. Pre-order your copy here.
Made up of Matt Sklar and Federica Tassano, the band has released two full length albums, an EP and a number of singles since it began in the Spring of 2020. All of their releases were self-recorded and have received some nice mentions from various blogs and websites.
Sirens At Golden Hour is an album that lives in that moment when twilight transitions to darkness, symbolizing both a physical occurrence and a personal emotion. It’s a voyage that encompasses amazement and sometimes despair, moving from a state of fascination to one of distress, and vice versa.
Of the single, they share: “‘Dusk Enchanted’ celebrates the mesmerizing tranquility and beauty of dusk, capturing the magic and melancholy of its colors and metaphorical significance. It captures the serene feeling that a stunning sunset brings. After a hectic day filled with work and constant activity, far removed from our natural rhythms, dusk calms me down and grounds me in the present moment.”
