Canadian post punk/new wave band Preoccupations (formerly known as Viet Cong) have announced the release of their most-anticipated fifth studio album ‘Ill At Ease‘.
Along with the announcement they have shared the lead track and video, “Focus”. The follow-up to their 2022’s album Arrangements, will be released on May 9 via Born Losers Records. Pre-order your copy here.
The band have also announced a run of live dates, which will see them visit cities around UK and North America.
According to the press release, Ill At Ease, finds Preoccupations drawing upon new inspiration, both sonically and from lived experiences, to create the dynamic eight tracks that make up the project. The record maintains the groups signature post-punk sound while drawing upon the nostalgia from the music of the 80’s and 90’s that served as a major influence for the album.
