London concrete-punks Qlowski have announced the release of their second studio album ‘The Wound’.
To coincide with the announcement, they have also shared its lead single ‘Surrender’ as well as its accompanying video. Set to arrive on November 1st via Maple Death and Feel It Records, The Wound is a record that feels like the culmination of their lives, politics and sense of community. Pre-order your copy here.
Dream-punk, propulsive rhythms, oblique kiwi-pop, dark punk are still part of their vocabulary but the band smashes borders with kosmische soundscapes, art-pop ballads, industrial beats and funked-up low-thud. Produced impeccably by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band) ‘The Wound’ is like a punk album for club culture, where bodies and sweat are just one gear in bringing a community together.
‘Surrender’, produced by Louis Milburn (Folly Group), almost feels like the Cure on a Martin Hannett diet of pills and reverb chambers. The noir mystery video was directed by Suzanna Kiss.
