British hugely influential goth second wavers Rosetta Stone have announced the release of their new full-length album ‘Under The Weather‘.
Rosetta Stone, formed by Porl King (guitar/vocals/keyboards), was named after the Rosetta Stone, an Egyptian historical artifact, and the band used much ancient mythological imagery, especially in their earlier work. It is 25 years since the group debuted with the EP Darkness and Light, and already they were five cassette tapes old, with a dedicated following around hometown Liverpool and beyond.
Now they release Under The Weather, Rosetta Stone’s seventh studio album, and their first since 2020’s rapturously received Cryptology. The 10-track record will be out on August 30 via Cleopatra Records. Pre-order your copy here.
True to form, this new batch of songs exude dark romance with chiming guitars and lush keyboards along, with a slight undercurrent of sinister nostalgia courtesy of bandleader Porl King!
The band have also shared their new hard-hitting single and title track “Under the Weather,” accompanied by a lyric video.
