New York indie pop / nu gaze / indie rock band Russian Baths have announced the release of their second studio album ‘Mirror‘.

Russian Baths is a band in the tradition of Television, Sonic Youth and Blonde Redhead nurtured by the same scene as Bambara, Water from Your Eyes and the Wants. They’re named after the iconic co-owned bathhouse that itself reflects the dark and light histories of the city.
Made up of Jess Rees (Activity), Luke Koz, and Kyle Garvey, the band write cryptic, melodic post punk punctuated by noise and eerie soundscapes. Their first album, “Deepfake,” was released in November 2019. For fans of Blonde Redhead, the Cure, Protomartyr, Spirit of the Beehive, Dry Cleaning…

“Split” lyrics:
I follow
Where you go
Like your shadow
I’m watching
Through pinholes
Replicating
When you move, I move, too
Where you go, I go with you
If you move, I move, too
Split
Your secrets
I share them
With my network
Through wires
To trap you
… you
When you’re there, I’m there, too
When you breathe, I breathe with you
Split
When you move, I move, too
When you breathe
Split
You can’t afford
To bite your tongue
But you bit it
And it bled some
And I saw it
I liked it
