Cheltenham-based indie/britrock/shoegaze band Siracuse have returned with their catchy new single “Saviour“, and its accompanying music video.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Dave Draper at The Old Cider Press Studios, Pershore UK, the track marks their first new music since their debut album Forever, released in 2020.
UPDATE 05/01/2023: “Saviour” is our new Single of the Week!
According to singer and guitarist, Ben Zakotti, Saviour “is three-and-a-half-minutes of melodic indie. Encapsulating guitar hooks reminiscent of ‘90s indie bands such as The Charlatans, Ride, and Oasis and layered over bass grooves and funky Stone Roses-esque drums”.
Discussing the narrative behind the track, Zakotti says it’s “a song about being inseparable with someone or something, doing what you love alongside someone you love; it’s about having that drive to go at something together or helping somebody get there”.
‘Saviour’ is a summer anthem, with nods to DMA’s early scene, The Roses’ wah-wah laced guitars, grooving bass line, and Will Hall’s archetypical thundering attack on drums.
Saviour is out now via Vibrant Sky Records. Grab it here.
