Skylights Reveal "Time To Let Things Go" Music Video

Yorkshire’s anthemic rock ‘n’ rollers Skylights have revealed the video for their newest single “Time To Let Things Go“.

The track is part our current playlist and came out last week (February 9) via 42’s Records. Buy it here.

Time To Let Things Go is an uplifting but melancholic and emotional song, with the signature Skylights sound. Guitarist Turnbull Smith says:

It reflects on life as if every moment has been written in a book; good and bad experiences, pivotal decisions and hard choices where you have had to let things and people go, no matter how hard it was to do, to ultimately change your path in life for the better.”

The video, filmed by Glen Gairns, was shot at and around their concert at The Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen in 2023. Watch it below.

SKYLIGHTS are: Rob Scarisbrick (vocals), Turnbull Smith (guitar), Jonny Scarisbrick (bass), and Myles Soley (drums).

Infusing Britpop and post punk influences, The band draws inspiration from a range of acts, including The Music, Shed Seven and the Bridewell Taxis along with North Western bands such as The Fourteeners, Oasis and The Verve.

Hard work, relentless gigging, and social media interaction have helped to build their growing fanbase, which includes a surprisingly eclectic array of sports and media celebs.
