Nashville / New Jersey dream pop /shoegaze duo Slow Salvation, made up of composed of Travis Trevisan and Christina Hernandez, have aired their captivating new single “Call a Friend“.
This evocative track continues the cross country collaboration between Christian and Travis that yielded last year’s debut LP ‘Here We Are’ and recent single ‘Japan.’
Over six blissful minutes, ‘Call a Friend’ uses airy vocals and effects-laden guitars to reflect on the complex emotions that can accompany a simple phone call. The song resonates both as a meditation on friendship and as Slow Salvation’s latest haunting contribution to the dream pop cannon. ‘Call a Friend’ features musical collaborators Matt McCartie (Driver Eight, Theft) on drums and Heather Bray Heywood (Kissing Cousins, Giant Waste of Man) on bass.
The track is out now via Velvet Blue Music. Grab it here and take a listen below.
Slow Salvation “Call A Friend” Lyrics:
When You Call a Friend
Will They Lie?
Till the Bitter End
It’s Alright
Will You Fade Away?
In the Light
Of a Long Decay
Grey Away the Truest Hue
By Divine We Spill Into
I Bite, My Tongue
It’s Another Day
You Got High
In Your New Cliche
It’s Alright
I’ve Got Other Plans
With My Friends
In the Motherland
Grey Away the Truest Hue
By Divine We Spill Into
I Bite, My Tongue
Grey Away the Truest Hue
By Divine We Spill Into
Wait Another Day
When You Call a Friend
